2010 World Series Texas vs San Francisco
The 2010 World Series has two teams that are both in the Western Division from their Leagues. The San Francisco Giants haven't been in the World Series since 2002, when they lost to the Anaheim Angels. They lost in 7 games after being up 3-2 games in the series. This is the first time ever the Texas Rangers have won the American League Pennant. Both teams will be sending their respected aces to the mound for game 1. The game features Cy Young winners Cliff Lee and Tim Lincecum. Both won the prestigious pitching award in 2008 and Lincecum repeating the award in 2009. Cliff Lee in his postseason career is 7-0 with a 1.26 ERA in 8 starts. Texas catcher Bengie Molina is in a strange position. Only being with the ball club since July, Molina started the year with the Giants. Either way he will be getting a champioship ring, either if Texas wins or San Francisco wins. He'll be the first catcher in World Series history to play against a team he played for earlier in the year.
NFL Week 7
The Pittsburgh Steelers won again in Ben Roethlisberger's second start, amid a controversial call at the end of the game. Big Ben fumbled in the endzone but the refs said it was unclear who recovered the fumble. The call allowed them to retain possession of the football and kick a game winning field goal to beat the Miami Dolphins 23-22. The defending Superbowl Champion New Orleans Saints suffered a real tough loss at home on Sunday. Drew Brees threw 4 interceptions, including two that got picked off by David Bowens and returned for scores. The Cleveland Browns beat the New Orleans Saints 30-17. The Oakland Raiders crushed the Denver Broncos in Denver 59-14. The total of 59 points by the Raiders, is a new record in their 51 year history. The winless Buffalo Bills gave the Baltimore Ravens a tough battle. The Bills forced overtime on a 50 yard long field goal by Rian Lindell with four seconds left in regulation. This wasnt enough as the Ravens won in overtime with a 38 yard long field goal by Billy Cundiff.
BCS Rankings
After another wild Saturday in college football, we're able to see who might be left still standing at the end of the season. We saw the fall of number one Oklahoma at Missouri. The first time coach Bob Stoops has lost to Mizzou. The two teams that take advantage of this defeat are Auburn and Oregon. Both respectively took care of their opponents. Oregon crushing UCLA up in Eugene and Auburn defeating then undefeated LSU. Auburn is now ranked atop the BCS standings and Oregon follows closely behind them in second.

Unbe-Lee-vable
The Texas Rangers stay afloat in the postseason and continue on to the American League Championship Series by beating the Tampa Bay rays 5-1. Backed by another stellar pitching performance by the lefty Cliff Lee. Being untouchable in the postseason, Lee improves to 6-0 with a 1.44 era and three complete games in seven starts. He set a postseason record for most strikeouts without a walk in a series, with 21 strikeouts in 16 innings. The Texas Rangers advance to the ALCS to face the New York Yankees.
Jets overcome Favre, Vikings, win 29-20
Despite the thunder and lightning that struck the sky, the New York Jets still soared with a win over the Minnesota Vikings. In a game that was delayed for 45 minutes, Brett Favre threw his 500th touchdown pass. He also fumbled twice which gave the Jets a 12-0 lead. He came back strong in the 2nd half, connecting with Randy Moss and Percey Harvin for two touchdowns. In the end the Jets won 29-20.
